LEARN Drive Updates

Hi Students and Teachers,

This notices is to alert you to some upcoming server upgrades that may impact the responsiveness of LEARN over the next two weekends.

The timeline is as follows:

This weekend (3/9-3/10):  Backup existing drives (will cause slowness).
Next Monday (3/11) through Wednesday (3/13): Run nightly sync to keep the backup up to date (will not impact users)
Next Thursday (3/14) at 1 AM - Run sync one more time.  At 6 AM, make the Backup drive will become the Data drive. (might impact users for a few moment at 6AM)
Next Thursday during the day - Remove old drives and insert the new drives. (should not impact users)
Next weekend (3/16 - 3/17): Run sync and make the new drives the new Backup (will cause slowness for users).

Thank you, and we are sorry for any inconvenience this might cause.  The benefit will be the additional space we gain and the increased speed to access data.
